I strongly condemn the barbaric attack on Osman Hadi. I demand an immediate, fair, and impartial investigation into this incident to bring the actual perpetrators to justice. Such subversive activities right after the announcement of the election schedule are an ominous sign for the country’s stability.
In the current context of the country, this incident cannot be viewed in isolation. There are logical questions and realities that cannot be ignored. Following the remarks of the Chief Adviser and the top leaders of the July Mass Uprising—if the attack on Hadi is indeed a deep-seated conspiracy to foil the election—we must first identify who truly benefits from the cancellation of the polls. If any particular quarter fears losing their currently occupied positions in a fair election, it is only natural to be suspicious of their motives.

The investigation must seriously consider the following:
Loss of Control: A certain group might lose their current grip on vital institutions (universities, ministries, banks) if a specific party comes to power through an election.
Staged Incident: It is crucial to investigate whether the attack on Osman Hadi was a staged drama intended to frame opposition leaders (such as Mirza Abbas) and drive them out of the political field.
Hidden Links: There are allegations that many attackers and masterminds previously held privileged positions under the guise of Chhatra League while hiding their true party identity. Will these old links be prioritized in the investigation, or will the old politics of blame-shifting continue?
An Acid Test for the Government:
If such sabotage continues following the announcement of the schedule, there is a risk of even greater anarchy ahead. Can the government suppress these ill-intentioned activities with an iron hand? Now is the time for the state apparatus to prove its capability.

I demand a fair and participatory election under any circumstances. The country’s uncertain journey, the insecurity of human life, and the endless arrogance of unelected forces are no longer tolerable.
